![]() 2006 Tours 6 Brewery Tour
I'll collect you from Düsseldorf Airport, and we'll get the hotel sorted out. Then it's the Schact 4/8 brewery for 4 beers and Webster's for dinner & 2 barrels of beer and a beer seminar. On Saturday morning we'll visit the Walsumer Brauhaus for a couple barrels of beer, then across the Rhine to Diebels,the largest Altbier brewery in the world. A lunch & more barrels await us along with a chat with our host, the "famous" Roland. Next stop is the Moerser Brauhaus for their tasty brew and we finish the day in the Paulaner house for a Bavarian beer & some Gulash soup. Sunday lunch will be at the Essen Borbecker Dampfbier Brauerei, with a visit to the brew house a chat with the brewmaster and more beer. The

Saturday morning we follow the Rhine south to the "Bierbörse".
As I wrote about in the October 2000 "What's Brewing", the Bierbörse
is an outdoor weekend bierfest. Hundreds of wonderful biers from Germany, the
Czech Republic and the rest of the world to taste and enjoy. It's also a
collector's paradise, for glasses, pins, t-shirts, etc. The day's end will include a
buffet "Brotzeit" dinner with beer. Sunday Brunch at Webster's Haus
Brauerei, with barrels of beer.
The
price, 190 Euro, includes, most transportation in
Germany, 2 nights in a good hotel with breakfast, Friday night
dinner party with bier, dinner on Saturday with beer. Sunday Brunch with

BIERBÖRSE 2006

HOLLAND & GERMANY
Cafe´t
Moortgat.
Once again, Friday night dinner party. Saturday morning about an hour's drive brings us to the Dutch
city of Arnhem where we'll be the guests of the Cafe't Moortgat, as
written about in the November 2001 issue of "What's Brewing". A
special bier pub run by members of PINT, which is the Dutch version of CAMRA.
Here we'll have the chance to try a selection of the 130 plus beers they serve. A
lunch will also be provided as well as a "Brotzeit" buffet dinner at the day's end. Sunday
morning will be a brunch at the Webster's, with beer.

price, 225 Euro, includes, 2 nights in a good hotel with breakfast, most
transportation in Germany & Holland, Friday night dinner party with bier, lunch and generous beer samples in Holland on Saturday, dinner in Germany, and Sunday brunch with lots of
beer.
DACHSBAU
BIER SEMINAR
Friday
night for our dinner party, Saturday a visit to the Schact 4/8brewery for lunch with bier. A stop at the Gleumes Brewery for a
sample of their product. Then to the Dachsbau, as written about in the January
2002 "What's Brewing" A fantastic pub with 18 biers on tap! Our host
will lead us through a 2 hour bierseminar with 5 different brews and
a dinner included. Sunday morning brunch at the Webester's brewery.

breakfast, most transportation in Germany, Friday night dinner
party with bier, a lunch with bier on Saturday, 2 biers at Gleumes Brewery, a 2 hour bierseminar with 5 biers & food. Sunday

BAVARIAN BIERFEST Sept
23-25 Aaaahhh,
Bavarian beer.*
Friday night diner at the Schacht 4/8 Brauhaus for their own Festbier & dinner. On Saturday we saddle up for a drive to Der Löwe In Essen
for Löwenbräu Oktoberfestbier and lunch. In the evening it's the Webster Brauhaus in
Duisburg. Here we'll have a dinner of Bavarian favorites and Webster Fest
Bier**. Silly music included.
On late Sunday morning it's the Paulaner Haus in Duisburg for Bavarian brunch
with Paulaner Oktoberfestbier and a farewell Bavarian schnaps.
